changes to my study programme

Hi, today I will talk about about changes to my study program.

If you read my old posts you know that I study social work. If you ask me about changes to my study program. I don't know. I have not thought about it. 

I would not change anything. I agree with it. One of the reasons is that I study at University of Chile is because of the study program.

Maybe I can suggest subjects about gender in first years of the career. it is a necessary subject and It would be a good idea to incorporate. I will not remove any subject from study program I think  they are all necessary

In my opinion we should have less CFG, sports and artistic or cultural subject. These subjects take away a lot of time. In my study program We need take three CFG, two sport or cultural subjects and also we take four levels of English. I think this a lot. I'm tired. So, I would like to decrease these subjects.

About faculty facilities I think we need more spaces that enable to study because in the exam periods the libraries are full. Also we need better class rooms. We don't have good ventilation system. In my faculty all the class rooms is very hot. So, sometimes  I feel like I can't breath. In addition to I think we need more spaces to rest too. We need more trees.

About teaching method I think teachers should add participatory methods in class.Because some class are so boring without participation.

Hi classmates! Today I will tell you about my personal opinions about different topics. 

What is my opinion about buying instead of adopting pets?

I totally don't agree with buy pets. There are many pets alone in the street dying of hungry. People buy pets because they believe that buying a pet will bring them q different social status. If we don't buy pets, this business will be over. Also the practices that accompany the purchase of pets will be end too. This practice for example is pet reproduction indiscriminately.

What is my opinion about having an exotic pet at home?

I don’t agree with people who have an exotic pet at home. They say that exotic pets are fine and they care of them. But they don’t think that they remove the animal from its natural environment. So generally exotic pets don't eat the same. People who have an exotic pet record videos and upload them to the internet. This might cause more people want to have an exotic pet.

What is my opinion about legalization of abortion in the 3 cases? 

I agree with abortion in 3 cases. It’s a big advance but should be the beginning. I think that we need free safe and legal abortion. I agree with abortion because I think women are owners of her body and we should to decide if we want to be mothers. Maternity must be a decision.

What is my opinion about immigration?

I think that move of place is a human right. With this phrase I says everything. If people want to go to other country, we don't should be difficult this. In Chile people are so racist. They don’t like people come of Haiti, Colombia, Peru etc. but if people come United States or Europe. They receive them kindly. There are many myths about immigration too.

postgraduate studies

Postgraduate Studies

Hi everyone, today I will talk about my postgraduate studies.

If you ask me about a postgraduate course that I would consider taking in the future. I am not sure yet because I have not thought. It is a very difficult question for me. I don't usually plan what I will do in the future. But I will try to imagine it.

About reasons to do the curse, in these difficult times it's necessary have more studies to find a good job also I would like to study a postgraduate studies to specialize in a topics of my interest. About reasons to don't do the curse I immediately think in money. Take a postgraduate studies is very expensive for me. I don't have to pay for it.

As I said in my last post I would like topics like natural disaster and risk management or related with health or  maybe territory. 

I would like to study in other country, will be awesome. I would like to study in Brazil because I know that this country has a good universities in social work also go to the Brazil is a dream for me too. But I don't have money, so this plan is difficult.

I would like to study in a part-time course because I don't want to overwhelm but i have no problem about it.

My future job

Hi everyone! Today I will talk about my future job.

If you ask me how I imagine my future job I say that I'm not sure yet, but I have hope this year can I know it. For now, I would like to my future job will be related with natural disaster and risk management or related with health. I like both, but now I would like my future job related with the first of them.

I would like to work in an office but not all the time. I would like to work outdoor too, close to the community and work together. I would like to job in an organization. I will imagine we travel showing our job and cooperate with other organization that works the same or similar. I would like to travel around the world for the job, but not all the time. Just when being necessary.

About the salary, I would like have a good salary. A salary that I can comfortably live and eat. But it's not necessary that my salary will be so high, I need a sufficient money for my basic things.

This year I would like to study natural disaster and risk management because is a new area in social work. There are not a lot of information although there are many natural disasters in our country. I really like so much this topic, I would like to learn about it.

how to be digital human in digital future

Hi, today I will talk about a video called how to be digital human in digital future.

First, I will tell you about the main ideas of the video and then I will answer the question What Douglas think about Douglas the evolution of technology and human beings. Then, I will tell you my opinion about it.

About the main ideas of the video, Douglas says that the world has been dominated for digital technology. Technology converted us to individual persons and the persons are evaluated for social data. The says that social networks don't maintain communicate, social networks separate us. One idea that catches my attention was when I talk about education. He says education has a porpoise. This purpose is to have a job. When in its first years the education was a gift for people can read.

Douglas thinks evolution should be technology for people but is the only for the market. He says evolution should be collaborative and less individualism. We occupied technology for isolated and individually save us of the crisis when we worry for not enter a crisis.

In my opinion, I agree with Douglas, he says the true, at this moment, the world only works with technology, and this technology didn't help us like should be. At this moment, Technology doesn't develop for us. Now, technology is a development for human for the market.

My career: social work

Hi, I will tell you about why I chose my career.  I chose to study social work because I hate inequalities. There are many situations that requires to do something. I chose social work because in our country there is much oppression. In this moment for example with Haitian migrant that fight to survive in this country.
My experience studying this career has been awesome, I am happy here. I am interested in topics like health, migrants, prison and gender inequality. The last year I had my practice in mental health.
I chose social work because I want to contribute with a grain of sand to build a better place for everyone. Also, I had studied at this university before another career. This career was nutrition and dietetics. but I ended up hating this career. The moment that I was interested in social work was  when was  in my nutrition career. There,  I realized of the enormous educational inequality of the some classmates with respect to others, included me.

Finally, I chose University of Chile because I liked the study program and this university and it is recognized for its quality in teaching.

The best holiday

My favorite holiday was on February 2016, I went with my parents to Coquimbo, south of La Serena. We went for two weeks and we camp near to the beach in "la herradura". We traveled  long distance by car to get Coquimbo. I remember that we traveled for 5 hours.
We went to "El Faro", a monumental lighthouse and we went to all the beaches around the city. Also we went to Valle del Elqui too.
My favorite place in Coquimbo is the beach called Totoralillo. This beach has crystal clear waters, fine sand and it doesn't have big waves. This vacations was my favorite because was the first time that we camped and I really liked the experience. Also, I was able to spend more time with my parents. My favorite moment of the day was at night when we go for walks and then we share time talking and listening to music with other people who where also camping. We met a lot of people from different parts of Chile. I would love to do it again!

A country I would like to visit

If I think about a country I would like to visit, I immediately think in Brazil, a country ubicated in South America. I would like to go Brazil because this country have a beautiful places especially I would like to go a Baia do Sancho, a beautiful beach considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the word, in addition to I like Brazil because is a near country. 

I have heard about warm sea temperatura. Besides of this I don't know a lot of things about it.

My boyfriend went to Brazil two years ago. So, he told me about of culture, beach and people. The told me that he swam with a lot of fishes around him. This is awesome for me. If I will go, I need to do this. also I know that Brazil is a great country for the carrer of social work too. 

If I will visit this place, I would like go to the party, visit historical places and go to the beach obviously. I would like live here, but  first I think that I need visit and know more about it.
